Prudence Sekgodiso: “I’M NOT DONE”

2023 Momentum gsport Awards Emerging Athlete of the Year finalist and  South Africa’s track sensation, Prudence Sekgodiso, says she is looking forward to next season after her fall in the 800m semi-final ended her journey at the World Athletics Championships on Friday evening. 

The 21-year-old featured in the 800m semi-final where she tripped on the track and unfortunately did not progress to the final round. 

In a heartfelt post on Instagram, Sekgodiso shared positives as she now shifts focus to next season. 

“Unfortunately things didn’t go according to the plan, but we take it and move on,” she wrote.

“Sadly this will be the end of my season, I’M NOT DONE, see y’all next year.”

After her fall, Sekgodiso showed her resilience as she picked herself up again and managed to cross the finish line.
