Robbeson Claims Osaka in Potch

Justine Robbeson is the second South African woman athlete to achieve A-Category qualification for the 2007 IAAF World Athletics Championships, scheduled for September this year in Osaka, Japan.

Robbeson joined discus queen Elizna Naude in the provisional national team, after her best javelin throw at the second Yellow Pages Ultimate Athletics meetings in Potchefstroom on Friday evening reached 62.51 metres.

Robbeson’s throw landed just 29cm short of her South African and African record set in Finland last year, and far exceeded Osaka’s entry standard by a meter and a half.
