Morocco will be hosting some of Mzansi’s top aquatics talent when the swimming programme of the 12th All Africa Games take place from 21 – 24 August, 2019 in the capital city of Rabat.
The South African swimming team topped the medal podium in 2015 with a total of 54 medals and will be looking to better that count.
Some powerful performances are expected from Erin Gallagher, who will be looking to make a splash in the 50m and 100m freestyle, the 50m and 100m butterfly, as well as the 50m backstroke, with Emma Chelius presenting some tough competition in the butterfly events.
The Swimming Programme Starts on Wednesday With the Heats Session
Kaylene Corbett and Christin Mundell will battle it out for the 50m, 100m and 200m breaststroke titles, while Mundell will also swim the 200m and 400m freestyle, as well as the 200m individual medley. Kerryn Herbst will also be among the talent on the hunt for medals in Morocco.
The swimming programme starts on Wednesday, 21 August with the heats session at 10h00, while the finals will begin at 17h00 daily.
