2019 Momentum gsport Awards Ministerial Recognition of Excellence recipient, Tatjana Schoenmaker, leads the second batch of athletes announced by SASCOC to represent Team SA at the Olympics, with less than a month to go to the prestigious Games in Tokyo.

The announcement, which was made live on SABC on Thursday evening, features representatives across 10 sporting codes, namely – athletics, cycling, rowing, sailing, sevens rugby, skateboarding, surfing, swimming, triathlon and waterpolo, with women featuring in all but athletics, cycling, rowing, sailing and sevens rugby.
The qualification process is still ongoing for some sports, and ends on 29 June 2021. More names are expected to be released after that date.
