South African cyclist Candice Lill claimed second place at the 2023 UCI Marathon World Championships in Glasgow, Scotland on Sunday, 06 August 2023.

Lill was only 54 seconds behind the winner Mona Mitterwallner. Mitterwallner crossed the line in a time of 05hrs07min50sec.
