The Spar Proteas travel to the UK to face Wales on the 19th and 20th of July 2022 before meeting up with the rest of Team South Africa for the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

Just over a month ago, Netball South Africa awarded 24 players with contracts for the first time with 15 of those being selected for the Commonwealth Games.

The players’ contracts will run through until December 2023, when a review will be undertaken, and further contracts set to be handed out.
South Africa is in Group A alongside Australia, Scotland, Wales, Barbados as well as 4th ranked Jamaica, who they face in their very first match.
The women in green and gold finished in fifth place at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and had a fourth-place finish at the 2019 Netball World Cup.
