After having lost in the final the week before, Stephanie Judith Visscher of the Netherlands went one step further at the weekend, winning the women’s singles title at the Wiphold International hosted by TuksTennis at the University of Pretoria in Tshwane, South Africa, on Monday, 3 March, 2025.

Visscher defeated Swiss top seed Jenny Duerst 5-7 6-1 7-6(5), turning the tables after Duerst had defeated her in the final at the ITF $15,000 combined World Tennis Tour event a week earlier.

“I’m really happy to have won this tournament. Last week I made the final, and it was also a great week, but I faced the same opponent last week and this week I was able to beat her, so I’m really happy with that.”

“It’s been a great two weeks for me. There have been a lot of matches, and last week there was a lot of rain, but this week we were able to play like normal, one match a day, which was great.”

In the doubles competition, Coco Bosman of the Netherlands and Maddalena Giordano of Italy were handed a walkover victory in the women’s final, with Vivien Sandberg of Germany and Emma van Poppel of the Netherlands having to withdraw.
