Tomorrow’s women’s final at the SA
National Squash Championship will see a clash between top seeds Farrah Sterne
and Diana Argyle. Sterne disposed of Siyole Lusaseni (WP) in straight
games while Argyle after edging through the first game 10-8 against Western
Province’s Milnay Louw took the next two games 9-2 9-5.
Yesterday’s women’s quarterfinals
saw third seed Western Province’s Siyole Lusaseni hardly raise a sweat against
Vivienne Doeg of Northerns while top seeded Farrah Sterne coasted through the
first game dropping only one point against teammate Sonia Pinter but then
having overcome her nervous start Pinter pushed Sterne to 10-8 in the second
game only to fade away in the third gaining only 1 point.
The finals will be played at the
Wanderers Club, Johannesburg
on Sunday with matches of all events starting at 8h30. The women’s final is
scheduled for 11h30 followed by the men’s final.
