Sundowns Ladies Trio Included in CAF Women’s Champions League Best XI

Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies trio have been included in the CAF Women’s Champions League Best XI, which was released on Monday, 14 November 2022.

Bambanani Mbane, Boitumelo Rabale and Lelona Daweti displayed exceptional performances throughout the tournament to be included in this year’s best team at the continental showpiece.

Rabale had scored the only goal against Tanzania’s Simba Queens that saw Banyana Ba Style progress to the finals and also walked away with Woman of the Match accolade.

Daweti has been phenomenal from the get-go as she scored and gave Sundowns Ladies a lead during group stage matches, meanwhile Mbane also earned herself Woman of the Match award after her performance against TP Mazembe.

Sundowns Ladies concluded the CAF Women’s Champions League as runners-up after losing 4-0 to ASFAR FC in the final.
