Leaders Extend Dusi Advantage
Team Alexa Lombard and Abbey Miedema extended their lead on the women’s by five minutes over the second-placed K2 partnership of Laura Thompson and Robyn Kime, to stay in control of the 2008 Hansa Powerade Dusi, a final stage down to the finish in Durban beckoning victory, disaster aside.

Dusi Girls Off Early on Thursday
The K2 team of Abbey Miedema and Alexa Lombard will pose a grave threat to any of the other 300 women participants aiming to win the 2008 Hansa Powerade Dusi Canoe women’s title, with the 2007 defending champion in last year’s K1 event well established in her canoeing team-up with Lombard.

Czech Win in Women’s K2
The class international team participating in the Hansa Powerade Fish River canoe marathon included the powerful Czech duo of Michala Mruzkova and Katarina Vacikova, who became the first internationals to win the race, which celebrated it’s 25th anniversary with a record entry of 1830 paddlers.
