Stacy Lee Bregman was the best-placed among local contenders in Durban on Friday, but it was overnight leader Julie Tvede who raced into a commanding six-shot lead, after the second round of the Acer Women’s SA Open being played at the Durban Country Club.

Bregman Rewards New Star

  Wales’ Becky Brewerton carded a final round 68 to clinch her maiden career Ladies European Tour victory at the Ladies English Open, but for South Africa the weekend’s most exciting development will be the continued good form of LET rookie Stacy Lee Bregman.

Stacy Still in the Mix

  South Africa’s thee ladies entered at the English Open in Chart Hills, Kent, all struggled on day two, as the lead was shared by Karen Stupples, Becky Brewerton, Eleanor Pilgrim and Cecilia Ekelundh on three-under-par, with one round left to play at the Ladies English Open, in association with Golf Punk. 

Great English Open start for Stacy
