One of the standout performances came from Juané le Roux in the Javelin throw event to progress to the final round.

Another reason for celebration came from Liezel Gouws, who also secured her place in the final of the 100m sprint. Gouws’ outstanding performance left spectators in awe as she demonstrated her incredible speed and agility. After the race, Team SA team had the privilege of catching up with Gouws as she shared her thoughts on her exceptional performance.
With a beaming smile, Gouws expressed her enjoyment of every moment on the track and her eagerness to compete against the world’s best, “I wanted to go out there and run and be able to compete against the world’s best. I am happy with my results,” she commented.
