Teenage sensation Savannah Ingledew is South Africa’s newly crowned SA Nationals Ladies Champion, after defeating Shelomi Truter in the final at V&A Waterfront in Cape Town on Saturday, 12 August 2023.

The 18-year-old was a force to be reckoned with on the day, serving as a tough opponent for Truter in a 11-4, 11-5, 11-3 (3-0) victory. 

Ingledew becomes the first teenager to take the national title, since Tenille Swartz, 19 years ago. 

In the 3rd and 4th place playoff, Teagan Roux earned a walkover in her match against Milney Louw, and similarly in the 5th and 6th position playoff, Hayley Ward defeated Helena Coetzee 11-5, 11-7, 11-3.
