Malawian international footballer, Temwa Chawinga, opened her scoring account for Wuhan Jiangda in the 2022/23 Chinese Women’s Super League opener on Friday, 8 April 2022.

Chawinga scored a goal in Jiangda’s 3-0 victory over newly promoted side, Shaanxi Chang’an.

The defending champions made a brilliant start in the contest as Lou Juahui’s perfect pass allowed Gu Yasho to score the opening goal after fourteen minutes.

Chawinga Sisters Win Chinese Women’s Super League

Twelve minutes into the second half, Dai Chenying capitalised on a communication breakdown between Lin Qing and her defence as Wuhan doubled their lead.

Wuhan continued to smother their opponents as a combination between Tabitha set up Temwa for goal number three.

Meanwhile, Nigerian international, Chinwedu Ihezuo starred in Guangdong Meizhou’s 2-1 victory over Henan Jianye.
