North West Cricket announced two girls joining the Dragons women’s team on Saturday, 28 October 2022.

16-year-old Tlotlo Bogatsu from Ikageng who forms part of the North West Cricket Hub, as well as 14-year-old Deidre van Rensburg joined the Dragons in Outdtshoorn where the senior team was competing in the CSA Women’s Provincial One-Day Cup.

Dragons Head Coach, Claud April said: “It is a wonderful opportunity for them at such a young age to test themselves against some of the best players in our country.”

As Bogatsu and van Rensburg gain valuable experience, April admits it will positively impact their future.

“With time and experienced gained it will only do them wonders in the future.

“Being so young is a testament to their talent and potential for the future of North-West Dragons Women’s Cricket.

“The key Is to keep them motivated, committed, disciplined, driven to be successful,” concluded April.
