Federation of International Hockey Level 4 accredited coach, Tsoanelo Pholo, is playing her part to pass on her knowledge as she hosted a goal-scoring masterclass aimed at helping coaches better understand and develop their strikers.
As part of the “Coach Pholo Skills Camp”, the workshop went into depth of how strikers should work effectively in and out of the circle, ensuring dynamic movement, distribution and being aware of the cues to get them in the right place to maximize their influence in the game.
“There is so much more to know about goal scoring, and I have a deep desire to share that knowledge with fellow coaches,” revealed Pholo to gsport.
Close to twenty coaches who coach schools in Mbombela (Nelspruit) area attended the masterclass workshop.
Several senior hockey players from Mbombela also joined Pholo as part of her practical component to the masterclass.
Going forward, the South Africa men’s hockey striker coach is aiming to host more workshops aimed at developing the game of hockey.
