Uganda’s senior netball team unveiled their first-ever kit sponsorship deal with GOtv Uganda as preparations continue ahead of the Commonwealth Games.
The sponsorship deal, which is worth 81.6 million Ugandan Shilling, will see the paid TV terrestrial service provider cater the She Cranes kit, travelling gear, and team air tickets to the Commonwealth Games with an option to renew after the global event.

President of Uganda Netball Association, Honourable Babirye sighted the importance of supporting local sports, saying: “These young ladies represent our country each time they go out to compete at championships worldwide. I strongly believe that with the backing from sponsors like GOtv they are destined for greatness without inhibitions whatsoever.”
Joan Ssemanda Kizza, the Public Relations Officer of MultiChoice hopes that the sponsorship will help the team concentrate on practicing for tournament without worrying about their travel and apparel.
“We have been tracking their performance for a while, they are outstanding compared with other teams in Uganda. They are ranked 1st in the region, second in Africa, and 6th in the world. I hope the sponsorship will help the team solely concentrate on practicing for tournaments without worrying about travel and apparel.”
