Do you have a passion for telling the untold stories of women’s sport from grassroots to national level? Or, are you an aspiring athlete, seeking a way to get your name out there?

gsport has you covered! With a growing community on gsport.co.za and countless women’s sport enthusiasts contributing on a regular basis to the blogging option provided, you can own your success in the palm of your hands. The best part is that you don’t have to pay a penny towards getting your story told.

With gsport’s free membership registration HERE, it will open doors to a world where you can tell your story the way you want it to be told.

gsport’s aim is to tell the positive stories of women’s sport in South Africa and to also encourage Corporate South Africa to back our women athletes.

We make every effort to shine the spotlight on the smaller sporting codes that often miss out on media coverage and that is where gsport members who are on the ground are be able to participate and bring those inspiring stories to light.

“Stories of success have been told and continue to be told through media exposure.” Banyana Banyana international, Refiloe Jane.

Over the years, gsport has had athletes taking time out of their schedules to blog about their journeys and Banyana Banyana assistant captain and international midfielder, Refiloe Jane was once an avid contributor as part of the #gsportTUTMLS internship team in 2018.

Today, Jane is the first South African to play in the Italian Serie A after joining AC Milan in early September 2019.

But, before Jane could make her move to Italy, last year while still contributing to gsport and being a student-athlete, she had secured a contract to Australian club, Canberra United and had this to say as she departed from South African and gsport shores, “Over the years, we have seen the growth of South African women in sport through the support given by gsport.

“Stories of success have been told and continue to be told through media exposure. The journey of passion, courage and commitment continues as the involvement of women in sport keeps growing. The future is definitely women sport.”

Despite having other commitments on their shoulders, gsport’s members have always found the time to contribute and speak about their passion for women’s sport. Hollywoodbets KZN Coastal Women’s Cricket Manager, Selina Munsamy, who is an Accountant by profession, has been a champion of blogging for gsport and telling the stories of young cricketers such as Nondumiso Shangase, who was given the platform to debut for the Proteas Women team while on tour in India earlier in October 2019.

These are just some of the many stories of how members have actively used the offer provided by the website.

You too can pave the way for an upcoming star or elevate your own success through the gsport blogging platform to uplift your career in women’s sports or hone your creativity as an aspiring writer.
