SAFA has confirmed that the South African U17 Girls National Team (Bantwana) has reported for camp ahead of the 2024 COSAFA U17 Girls Championships in Johannesburg, on 30 November 2024.
This year’s edition of the girls COSAFA Championships will run concurrently with the boys’ tournament, at the UJ Soweto Campus from 4 to 13 December, 2024.
Bantwana Head Coach Ntombifuthi Khumalo has called up a mixed squad, as she will be hoping to continue her good run in junior COSAFA competitions.
Speaking to www.safa.net, Khumalo said she has called up players who have tasted victory and others that are still hungry for success.
“We have mixed this squad with players who recently participated in the COSAFA Schools Championships, players who have been part of the U17 National team and a few that play in the Hollywoodbets Super League.”
