DHL Western Province secured a mammoth 91-12 victory over EP Queens in Cape Town on Saturday, 5 June 2022.

The bonus point win not only secured them a top-of-the-log finish, but they will host the final showdown this weekend against defending champions Border Ladies.

WP scored four tries within the first half but it was the carnage in the second half that sealed their fate as they scored an unwavering 62 points.

Zintle Mpupha who returned from her stint in Exeter in England, showed no mercy for the Eastern Cape side, scoring four tries on her return.

In the other matches, Blue Bulls Women finished third on the log following their 26-7 win over Mastercard Golden Lions Women at Wits Rugby Club in Johannesburg.

A converted try by left-wing Maria Tshiremba, not only gave the home side a lead at halftime but also a chance of their first win. Despite their gallant effort, the visitors stuck to their game plan and finished off their season on a high.

While, Boland Dames secured the narrowest of victories, 20-19 over the Cell C Sharks Ladies in Grabouw. The match was evenly contested with both sides enjoying spells of dominance. It was the determined dominance of the home side that stood between the visitors and the win. Theresa Ruiters, who played in her 50th match for Dames, scored a try and kept her team organized on the attack and defence.
