Foreign players reigned supreme during the Curro Junior International Tennis Federation (ITF) Grade Four tournament that came to a close on Saturday, 7 September, at Maties Tennis Club at the Coetzenburg Sport Grounds in Stellenbosch.
The girl’s final saw South Africa’s third seeds Maretha Burger and Christine Kruger lifting the doubles title.
While, Russian Kira Pavlova beat Rebecca Lynn from the United States of America 3-6 7-6(5) 6-3 in a tough encounter that stretched for over two hours to see the foreigners take the honours at the tournament.
