World Sports Betting Western Province Women swept the Hollywoodbets Pro Series double with an emphatic eight-wicket victory over DP World Lions Women in the Hollywoodbets Pro50 Final at Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium, Durban, Sunday, 15 March, 2026.
Two days after denying the Lions the Pro20 crown, Western Province dismantled the reigning Pro50 champions with a complete team performance that left the Johannesburg side with nowhere to turn.
The Lions won the toss and elected to bat, but the decision immediately unravelled. Caitlin Wyngaard removed both openers in the first over, sending Neo Molefe and Razeena Manack back to the pavilion without scoring, to leave the Lions reeling at 4/2 before the innings had a chance to gather pace.
From that precarious position, the Lions needed someone to rebuild, and Diara Ramlakan answered the call with the most composed innings of the day, top-scoring with 41 off 51 balls and hitting six fours in a fighting effort that earned the Lions some respectability. Around her, however, wickets continued to fall regularly, and the Lions were eventually dismissed for 99 in 29.3 overs.

Wyngaard and Delmi Tucker shared the bowling honours with three wickets each, Wyngaard conceding just 25 runs from eight overs and Tucker even more miserly, with 3/18 in her 7.3 overs. Miya Lalor weighed in with 1/18 from five overs, also featuring in the run-out that ended Ramlakan’s innings, and Nosipho Vezi contributed 1/10 from four, ensuring the Lions never found the accelerator.
Shabnim Ismail gave the Lions an early foothold with the ball, removing Lara Goodall first ball and Oluhle Siyo for 7 to reduce Western Province to 18/2. Megan Fourie then retired hurt after a measured 20 off 43 balls, and for a brief moment the match appeared to offer the Lions a route back.
That door closed firmly when Faye Tunnicliffe and Delmi Tucker came together. Tunnicliffe was composed and authoritative, finishing unbeaten on 38 off 57 balls with five fours, while Tucker contributed a brisk 20 not out from 34 balls to see Western Province to 100/2 in 24 overs, winning with a commanding 26 overs to spare.
The result handed Western Province an historic Pro Series double, sealing both the Hollywoodbets Pro20 and Pro50 titles in the space of 48 hours at the same ground. For the Lions, the weekend’s sweep marks a significant setback for a side that arrived in Durban as reigning Pro50 champions and the top contenders by standings in both formats.
