CAF has revealed the top three finalists for the CAF Awards ceremony in Rabat, Morocco on Thursday, 21 July 2022.
Banyana Banyana and Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies duo Andile Dlamini and Bambanani Mbane will battle it out in the Women’s Interclub Player of the Year category alongside Ghanaian Evelyn Badu.

After leading Banyana Banyana to the 2022 WAFCON final, Coach Desiree Ellis is being recognised in the Coach of the Year women’s category. The 59-year-old also secured a place in the FIFA Women’s World Cup for the second time in a row.
Ellis will be up against compatriot Jerry Tshabalala, head coach of Mamelodi Sundowns as well as Zambia’s Bruce Mwape and Morocco’s Reynald Pedros.
Meanwhile, Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies have also made the list for the Women’s Club of the Year award, alongside AS FAR of Morocco and Hasaacas Ladies of Ghana.
