Week 17 of the Hollywoodbets Super League saw First Touch FC Ladies stun Richmond United at home with a 2-1 defeat to avenge their 2-nil loss to the hosts at home earlier in the season, in the week ending on Sunday, 23 June, 2024.
This also marked the first victory in seven games for the Limpopo side against Richmond.
With no goals scored at half time, a spectacular goal came from Linky Twala in the 55th minute, scoring her second goal in three games to hand Tshepo Mogajana and his charges their fourth consecutive game without win.
Mpho Bloem pulled one back for the Northern Cape side. With that result Dikgoshigadi Tsa Limpopo moved one up to ninth on the standings, while Richmond dropped to seventh place.

Both derbies of the weekend ended in draws: Royal AM and Durban Ladies could not be separated after playing to a goalless draw in the KZN derby, and TUT Matsatsantsa FC held University of Pretoria to a 1-all draw at the TUT Pretoria Stadium.
Kgomotso Pule opened the scoring 13th minutes into the clash with Gonste Homba equalising for AmaTuks in the 62nd minute.
Durban Ladies will need to pull up their socks drastically with the defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies looming, after log leaders Banyana ba Style won 1-0 against University of Fort Hare at Lucas Moripe Stadium.
University of Western Cape headed down to UJ Soweto Stadium to battle TS Galaxy Queens, where the Rockets lost 2-1 to the students. University of Johannesburg won 1-0 versus City Lads with Thato Mofolo adding to her number of goals this season, continuing to exhibit fine form.

The triumphs for UWC FC and UJ FC set up an enticing fixture ahead of week 18 as the two sides meet in the Western Cape. Should Thinasonke Mbuli’s side win, they will eclipse UJ on the standings and occupy the second spot.
Newly-promoted Lindelandi Ladies’ woes continued, losing 4-0 to JVW FC thanks to goals from Gabriela Salgado 24’, Nonpumelelo Nyandeni 37’, Robyn Moodaly 57’ and Tanna Hollis 78’.
Their fellow strugglers, who are at the foot of the table, Thunderbirds Ladies FC, earned their second point of the season after a 0-0 draw with Copperbelts FC.
