Legendary runner, Elana Meyer, was honoured with the World Peace Award medal at the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon on Sunday, 18 October 2020.
According to an update by Endurocad, Meyer was awarded by Penny Nam of the Sri Chinmoy Oneness-Home Peace Run.

Meyer currently plays a vital role in the world of running and is a true ambassador for peace.
She holds eight current South African distance running records and gives back to the sport in various way.
She has joined an elite list of icons including Nelson Mandela and Archbishop Desmond Tutu, as a recipient of this prestigious award.
