London Olympian Tiffany Kruger has won the Thule Surfski Challenge, race four of the Varsity College Marine Surfski Series, and now holds a firm grasp on the women’s title challenge leaving defending champ Michelle Burn, currently out due to injury, lots of work to do upon her return to action.
Kruger was chased home by Eastern Cape local Nikki Russell and the evergreen Danica Bartho, while Natalie Beuster and Keren Worlock claimed the women’s double title.
With the three day iconic race from Pietermaritzburg to Durban, The Unlimited Dusi, just around the corner numerous of the province’s leading river specialists we spotted on the ocean as well, getting some valuable last minute training in under intense racing conditions.
Savannah van Rooyen again claimed victory in the junior girls section.
