South African cricket umpire, Lauren Agenbag, is making strides globally as she will officiate the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup final between Australia and England on Sunday, 3 April 2022.

In a first for global cricket, ICC announced four women match officials who will oversee the match at Hagley Oval in Christchurch.

At the event this year, the council focused on their strategic commitment towards gender equality in the sport as they included eight women of the 15 match officials.

Agenbag and New Zealand’s Kim Cotton will be the two on-field umpires, while West Indies’ Jacqueline Williams will take charge as the TV umpire and Langton Rusere of Zimbabwe will be the fourth umpire.
