The Oval Invincibles confirmed the signing of Kapp, while Manchester Originals have secured the services of Lee and du Preez. Tryon will turn out for the London Spirit team.
Speaking on her recruitment, Kapp told Sky Sports: “The Kia Oval is a fantastic place to play cricket and I’m really looking forward to playing for Oval Invincibles there. We’ve got a great group of players and I’m hoping we can go all the way in the competition.”
Opening batter Lee added: “I’ve got some fantastic memories of playing in England both internationally and in the Kia Super League and I can’t wait to take part in The Hundred later this year for Manchester Originals.
“It’s really exciting to be playing in a new competition and I think it’s a great opportunity to continue to grow the women’s game.”
In 2020, the competition was postponed due to the global Coronavirus pandemic. Du Preez shared her disappointment, but also understood the decision taken to protect the lives of all players involved.
“I’m devastated that we won’t get to play in the Hundred competition this year, as I was super excited about this new format,” du Preez said at the time. “However, I completely understand that something like the Covid-19 pandemic was unexpected, and I appreciate the fact that the ECB and FICA are putting players and management’s health and safety first. “Now we just have to wait a little longer for the exciting format to launch in 2021…I can’t wait!!!” she pointed out to gsport.
