Jamaica pulled off a resounding 59-48 victory over defending champions New Zealand in the morning session of the 2023 Netball World Cup at the Cape Town International Convention Centre on Thursday, 3 August 2023.

After a shock 48-all draw to hosts South Africa on Wednesday evening, the Silver Ferns were aiming for victory against the Caribbean nation.

However, their loss has not guaranteed their spot in the semi-finals and could be pipped by Norma Plummer’s side in the event that the South Africans defeat Uganda by 64 or more goals to secure qualification for the final top four.
