Phiwokuhle Mnguni Finishes Strong With a Bronze Medal at #B2022

South African boxer Phiwokuhle Mnguni is officially the first woman to secure a boxing medal for South Africa at a Commonwealth Games event.

Mnguni made history earlier this week as she secured a semi-final spot, defeating Sajeewani Coorey Muthuthanthri from Sri Lanka.

However, in the semi’s Mnguni was defeated by Commonwealth silver medalist, Michaela Walsh from Northern Ireland.
