Southern Gauteng player, Kristen Paton, is grateful for winning the Player of the Tournament award at the 2021 Women’s Hockey IPT at Hartleyvale Stadium on Saturday, 30 October 2021.

Speaking on her individual accolade, Paton says: “For me, personally, it has been a very difficult year off the hockey field and in my personal life, so this tournament meant the world to me to be able to fall in love with the game again.

“After the Olympics, I was going to take 6 months off, away from hockey completely. So, the Player of the Tournament was the cherry on top,” she added.
