SA Junior Squad Strike Gold at Namibia Short Course Champs

South African junior swimmers struck gold at the Namibia Short Course Championships in The Cube, Swakopmund, Namibia, from 28 September to 1 October. 

Team SA brought home an array of medals and new records. It was hard work, passion, perseverance, and sacrifice that saw the team win medals galore across multiple disciplines in the pool. 

Individual achievements have been nothing short of inspiring. 

Gabie van den Berg obtained four gold medals with a New Record in the 50m Breaststroke, 100m Breaststroke and 200m Breaststroke, and a silver medal.

Dane de Klerk, won four gold medals and broke the record in the 100m Butterfly.

Gizella Maritz won five gold medals, Grace George one bronze medal and Maya Mgcina finishing #TeamSA girls medal count with two gold, one silver and one bronze medal, at the championship.
