The South African U21 women’s hockey team defeated Zimbabwe to win the 2023 Africa Junior Cup on Thursday, 16 March.
The young stars from Mzansi booked a spot in the final after topping the group standings securing nine out of nine points from their three games.
In the final, they managed to narrowly beat the opponents 1-0 to win gold.
The next challenge on the calendar will see the South Africans travel to Chile for the FIH Junior World Cup from 6-17 December.

Best Goalkeeper – Morgan de Jager and Leane McLaren (Both South Africa)
