Athletics South Africa (ASA) announced today that its athletes are preparing for a South African onslaught at the 2007 Southern Region Senior Championships, in Namibia on 26-27 May.
ASA is using the championships to provide competition opportunities for some senior athletes, and at the same time allow some of the younger athletes to gain valuable experience as they migrate to senior level.
Athletes who will be using these Championships to get back into competition shape include javelin star Sunette Viljoen and 400m specialist Estie Wittstock, who would both like to improve on recent form.
