South African top-seed Chanel Simmonds carried her SA Spring Open-winning form into the Tennis SA Tuks International as she sailed into the second round with a 6-2 6-0 victory over local junior player Cayline Le Grange in Pretoria on Wednesday, 2 October 2019.

Simmonds, who won the SA Spring Open in a thrilling finale last weekend will meet another South African junior Ntokozo Zungu on Thursday, 3 October, for a place in the quarter-final round.

While, Dutch second seeded Merel Hoedt got past countrywoman Demi Tran 4-6 6-0 6-2.
