The South African women’s wheelchair basketball team beat hosts Ethiopia 30-24 to claim their first victory at the IWBF 2022 Africa Championship Qualifiers.
The tournament is taking place in Addis Ababa from 23-28 January where the South Africans will be aiming to take the gold medal after earning silver in 2020
The South African side, Ethiopia and Algeria will compete for the number one spot where they will get the opportunity to represent the African Zone at the World Cup Championships in Dubai next year.
