Sunette Viljoen-Louw of Titans, scored a massive 160 (123), hitting twenty-seven fours and one six in her stay at the crease as the second half of the CSA Provincial competition resumed on Saturday, 22 January 2022.

Robyn Searle scored 63 (83), with eight fours and Eliz-Mari Marx on 45*(25), with seven fours and one six. Titans set a target of 321/6 in their innings.

Tsholofelo Marema was the pick of the bowlers for Eastern Storm Women taking three wickets for fifty-one runs.

Easterns were bowled out for 115 in 31.2 overs. Pauline Mashishi took four wickets in her ten overs and Marx took two wickets in six overs as Titans claimed a 206-run victory over the Benoni team.

In the other Top 6 clash in Potchefstroom, Senwes North West Dragons hosted Hollywoodbets KZN Coastal Women.

Coastal won the toss and put the Dragons in to bat. Elandri Janse van Rensburg fell eight runs short of what was set to be a lovely century as she scored 92 (69), hitting eleven fours and five sixes, whilst Lizri de Villiers was two runs short off a century as she ended on 98* (74), smashing fourteen fours and three sixes.

The Dragons posted a massive 321/6 in their innings. They were assisted by Zintle Mali who contributed with both bat and ball as she scored 78 (72) with ten fours and two sixes and took three wickets for sixteen runs.

The Coastal team struggled to maintain any sort of partnership as wickets fell at regular intervals. Courtney Gounden top scored with 62 (91), with eleven fours and one six. Humairah Ebrahim, the U19 sensation for the Dragons, took three wickets for twenty runs as the Coastal team was bowled out for 102 in 31.3 overs.

Dragons won by 219 runs.

SWD Top Perform Against Border

In the Pool A clash, South Western Districts Women hosted Border Women in Oudtshoorn. Border had won the toss and chose to set a target.

They were bowled out for 101 in 39.2 overs. Genevieve Fritz top scored for Border with 47 (117) and seven fours. Micaela Andrews took four wickets for nineteen runs, whilst Jane Winster and Julandi Saayman both took three wickets each.

SWD Women reached the target of 102/2 in 25.4 overs. Micaela Andrews top scored with 37* (39), hitting three fours and two sixes.

SWD Women won by 8 wickets.

In the Pool B clash, Free State Women hosted Limpopo in Bloemfontein. Limpopo set a target of 158/9 in their innings. Tebogo Machake scored 33 (49), with four fours and one six, she was assisted by Kushi Mistry who hit two fours in her score of 31. Annerie Dercksen and Yolandie Potgieter took three wickets apiece for the Free State team.

Delmari Hoffman remained on 103* (78) smashing seventeen fours and two sixes as the Bloemfontein Roses reached the target of 159 losing two wickets in 23.1 overs.

Free State won by 8 wickets.

All teams will battle once again on Sunday, 23 January, in the T20 format. Matches are live on PitchVision.
