The Springbok Women’s Sevens Team have finished the International Invitational Sevens tournament as 1st runners-up, after losing to the USA in the tournament final.
Springboks Walk China Sevens Day 1
The Springbok Women’s team have made a winning start to the International Women’s Invitational Sevens with a clean sweep on the opening day, beating Kazakhstan, Thailand and the China second team.
Women’s Sevens in the Spotlight
SARU has announced a squad of 12 to play in a Sevens tournament in China later month. This will serve as a warm up tournament for the SA women’s team in preparation for the first tournament of the inaugural World Sevens series that kicks off at the end of November in Dubai.
WP favourite to capture Women’s title

The South African Rugby Union has announced a squad of 24 players for the senior Women’s Nations Cup tournament in Toronto, Canada from 2 – 14 August. There are six players in the squad who did not participate in the 2010 IRB Women’s World Cup tournament in England.
