Tazmin Brits and Jana Nell struck commanding individual scores as they steered their respective teams to victory in the CSA Domestic Women’s Professional One Day cup action continued on Saturday 2 March, 2024.

Six Gun Grill Garden Route Badgers Women hosted Hollywoodbets Dolphins Women in Oudtshoorn, and after winning the toss, the hosts chose to have a bat first.

Tazmin Brits continued from where she left off with the Protea’s Women as she struck a commanding 126 (114), with Micaela Andrews assisting with 27 (32), as the Badgers posted an impressive 226/8 in their 50-overs.

Nonkululeko Mlaba’s sensational bowling figures of 5/24 with Kiara Fisher and Alexander Candler taking a wicket each for the Dolphins helped to restrict the home team.

The visitors put up a gallant fight but fell just 9 runs short of the target, with 4 balls to spare. Courtney Gounden 22(34), Kiara Fisher 27 (42), Jade de Figueiredo 25 (37), all fought hard but it was not to be, as Tabitha le Grange took 3/36 and Chantelle van Schoor and Micaela Andrews contributed with two wickets each for the Badgers to secure victory by 9 runs.

In the Second Division clash between Boland and Eastern Province at Dafabet St Georges Park in Gqeberha, Eastern Province won by a whopping 207 runs.

Province chose to bat first after winning the toss. Jana Nell struck 88(69), and with a steady contribution of 53 (120) from Amber Botha, as they set a total of 262/9 in their 50 overs.

In their reply, Boland struggled to get out of the starting blocks with the EP bowling unit proving destructive, with only Zizi Mdebuka 10 (14) and Taymin Muggels 13 (34) able to reach double figures before Boland were bowled out for 55 in the 23rd over.
