It’s a full-circle moment for South African Olympic javelin star, Sunette Viljoen, as her focus returns to cricket, joining the Titans Ladies squad.

The Rio Olympics silver medalist and double Commonwealth Games gold medalist showed potential in cricket at a young age, as she representing South Africa at the 2000 Women’s World Cup in New Zealand.

The all-rounder will now look to use her extensive knowledge and experience in the sport industry to assist her new team-mates to reach greater heights.

Speaking on Viljoen’s appointment, Titans Cricket Services Manager Charlotte Serwadi said, “There is a genuine buzz in the ladies’ squad at the moment.

“We all know what Sunette has achieved already, and to be able to tap into that incredible work ethic and mental strength is going to be a huge boost for our squad,” she concluded.
