Vera Adrian retained her elite women’s road race title at the Namibia Road Nationals Championship on Sunday, 6 February 2022.
The 28-year-old delivered on her status as race favourite to win her 9th women’s elite road national crown.
Adrian’s instinct made the difference as she outshined Melissa Hinz and Anri Krugel, who came home second and third, respectively.
“I used this opportunity to prepare for the upcoming cycling events and also the Commonwealth Games,” revealed Adrian.
Monique Du Plessis dominated the women’s Under-23 event, emerging as the winner in 32:18 with Olivia Shililifa claiming silver and Cindy Rowland settling for bronze.
