Victorious Weekend for Liezel

Television and radio personality Liezel van der Westhuizen and paddling partner, Greg van Heerden, teamed up again this weekend to tackle the Breede River summer series, a race that they won last year in the mixed doubles category. This year the pair, both from Milnerton Canoe Club, didn’t disappoint and paddled away victorious in the mixed category once again.

This is the second year that the Western Cape Canoe Union hosted this race, with a wide range of paddlers entering from all over the Western Cape. The Breede Summer series consists of 3 B-grade river races raced on sections between Nekkies Resort and Eilandia close to Worcester.
