WSB Western Province Women were stand-out victors at home against the Knights Women while the Hollywoodbets Dolphins Women earned a hard-won Hollywoodbets Pro50 Series tie on the road agains in Oudtshoorn on Saturday, 12 October, 2024.

Province claimed a convincing 64-run victory over Knights Women at the WSB Newlands Cricket Ground where, after winning the toss, Knights opted to field first, with the hosts posting a competitive total of 210 all out in 49.5 overs.

Dutch international Babette de Leede led the charge with a commanding 69 before being dismissed by Lucian Swarts, who was the standout bowler for Knights with figures of 2/24.

Yandiswa Mangele contributed a solid 40, while Caitlyn Wyngaard added 29, helping their side reach a respectable total. Elandri Janse van Rensburg was also impressive with the ball, finishing with 2/20.

In response, Knights struggled against a disciplined Western Province bowling attack. Leah Jones struck twice early, removing both Yolandi Potgieter (31) and Izel Cilliers (15), before Faye Tunnicliffe (2/21) and Nozipho Vezi (3/25) dismantled the middle order.

Anica Swarts fought hard with 37, but Knights could only manage 146 all out in 41.1 overs, handing WSB Western Province a comfortable win.

Meanwhile, at Six Gun Grill Recreation Grounds in Oudtshoorn, Hollywoodbets Dolphins Women secured a hard-fought 3-wicket win over Six Gun Grill Garden Route Badgers Women.

After electing to field, Dolphins limited the home side to 157 all out in 40.3 overs, with Nondumiso Shangase shining, claiming 3/20. Michaela Andrews was the star for Badgers, anchoring the innings with a resilient 50*.

In the run chase, Dolphins encountered stiff resistance from Nicolien Janse van Rensburg, who ripped through the lineup with an exceptional 5/28. However, Alexandra Candler’s 43 and Zintle Mali’s unbeaten 22* steered Dolphins to victory, reaching 161/7 in 34.3 overs.
