World Netball has updated the World Netball World Rankings, confirming five more teams that will be invited to compete at the Netball World Cup 2023, based on their ranking position.

With just under a year to the start of the tournament in South Africa, 16 teams are set to be invited to take part including the host nation, as well as the top five teams in the World Rankings.

Looking at the top six teams, Jamaica has moved up to 3rd place, after making history at the recent Commonwealth Games by winning the silver medal in their first ever final.
With England dropping to 4th, this means that Australia are ranked in 1st place, New Zealand in 2nd, Jamaica 3rd and England 4th.
Uganda who are ranked 6th are also invited due to South Africa ranking in 5th and pre-qualifying as hosts.
The Netball World Cup 2023 Qualifier – Oceania has already taken place with Tonga and Fiji qualifying to be invited by World Netball to compete at the event.
The next qualifier is set to take place will be in Africa, from 21 – 27 August 2022.
