South African Boxing Promoter, Zandile Malinga, is ready to claim her rightful place in professional boxing after being elected as Chairperson of the KwaZulu-Natal Professional Boxing Association.

The elections took place at the Annual General Meeting in Durban on Saturday, 12 June 2021.

Sharing on her Facebook account, Malinga said: “The first step into the right direction, my love for boxing is the only thing I have that keeps me. Over the years I have discovered that boxing has been God’s instrument on my journey in faith.”

Malinga has spent 15 years in the game and strongly believes that there’s still so much to be done, sharing her commitment to the association.

“As the newly appointed Chairperson of the KZNPBF, I’m committing myself to hard work and again, the rest will follow. History has taught me it’s not going to be easy but against all odds we will prosper. Tenacity, dedication, selflessness and humbleness will be the order of the day for me.”

Malinga continued to share her goals and aspirations for the association going forward.

“To all boxers, trainers, managers and promoters in KZN we are claiming our rightful place in professional boxing. In the near future we will be filling up stadiums like before, we will be unstoppable. Watch the space.”
