Zimbabwe’s Lady Cheetahs recorded a clean sheet of victories to win the Rugby Africa South Region 7s pre-qualifying tournament which concluded in Lesotho on Sunday, 30 January 2022.

The Cheetahs scored a massive 165 in their four matches – without conceding a single point – in their fixtures against Lesotho, Namibia, Botswana and Mauritius.

After beating Mauritius 20-0 on Sunday, the Zimbabwean side qualified for the Africa Cup, which will be held in Uganda.

Namibia finished a close second in their first international tournament in five years.

Speaking to NBCSport Desk, Namibia’s coach, CJ Kotze said: “We did a bit of calculations and clearly it showed that we just had to win the next game to go all the way to second place.”
