Zimbabwe Lady Sables Outclass Namibia in Rugby Africa Cup

Zimbabwe bounced back from their 108-0 hammering against South Africa, defeating Namibia 72-0 in Pool A of the Rugby Africa Women’s Cup on Sunday, 19 July 2022.

Delight Mukomondo, Kudzanai Chirinda, Liliosa Chigumba, Samatha Chirongoma, Caroline Malenga and Robyn Mhembere all scored a brace of tries.

While, 21-year-old outside centre Chiwoniso Mabika walked away with the Player of the Match award after she scored four outstanding tries.

Lady Sables interim head coach Lissy Wasarirevu was relieved with her team’s performance, saying: “The ladies played quite well and as the technical team, we are happy with their performance. We will continue to work on our weakness as we wait for our next fixture which is yet to be released by Rugby Africa.”

Namibia will hope to bounce back when they face South Africa on Thursday, 24 July 2022.
