Discovery has announced three-time Paralympian and world number 6, Kgothatso ‘KG’ Montjane, as their newest Discovery Vitality Ambassador.

Montjane’s appointment sees her join a list of fellow South African athletes such as Caster Semenya, Chad le Clos, Wayde van Niekerk as well as football legend Lucas Radebe.
Head of Experiential Marketing, Iona Maclean, at Discovery told FAnews, “We believe her hard work, compassion and leadership, both on and off the court, will show people – those able-bodied and differently-abled, from all walks of life and of all fitness level- that each one of us can take steps to improve our physical and mental health, and that within each of us lies and the potential to achieve great thing.”
The Polokwane borne athlete is committed to inspire others to improve our physical and mental health saying on Twitter, “I’m incredible excited by this new partnership, and the opportunity it provides to bring hope to others.
“Although COVID-19 has had a devastating impact on everyone in the sports industry, I am more determined than ever to take on new challenges, encourage more people to get active, and help grow tennis in South Africa”
Montjane is currently competing in the Melbourne Open and is expected to participate in the Australian Open which takes place between 14 – 17 February 2021 – the first of the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments held each year.
