The much-anticipated 2024 Spar South African Indoor Hockey IPT is set to kick off amidst great enthusiasm and anticipation in the Mother City this week, Hockey SA announced on Tuesday, 27 February, 2024.
The event, scheduled to take place at the Wynberg Military Base and University of Cape Town in Cape Town from 28 February to 2 March 2024, promises an electrifying display of talent and sportsmanship.
There will be A Section and B Section, with live streaming of A Section matches will be on the SuperSport Schools application ensuring fans across the nation can witness the thrilling encounters firsthand.
The tournament features defending champions who are eager to uphold their titles and fetch their names in history once again.
KwaZulu-Natal Raiders, the reigning women’s champions, are on the quest for an unprecedented fourth consecutive title, setting the stage for intense battles and remarkable performances as teams compete at the highest level.
In anticipation of the event, Shaune Baaitjies, Interim CEO of South African Hockey, expressed the significance of sponsor support towards the tournament, saying, “The commitment and support from Spar are invaluable in nurturing the growth of indoor hockey in our nation.
