Lesley Leads Awards Voting

With over 300 votes registered on the gsport website, January 2007 Woman of the Year candidate Lesley Copeman has received the most votes in any category, and leads by 53 votes.South Africa’s top women’s golf coach is leading the votes for gsport’s Woman of the Year Award.

Lesley Copeman, who is also the co-founder of the Women’s World Cup of Golf, has charged into the lead with 89 votes.
Morning Live presenter and 46664 ambassador, Leanne Manas, is lying second on 36 votes.
In the Woman in Media category, South Africa’s first female rugby analyst Zeena Isaacs has opened up a significant lead over SuperSport’s Cindy Grota, and leads by 31.
There is an interesting battle going on for Style Star of the Year, with 5fm’s Nicole Fox and East Coast Radio’s Margaret van der Westhuizen slugging it out for top honours.
At the time of publication, Nicole is leading with 73 votes, followed by Mags on 58 votes.
In our gSTAR category, South Africa’s newest Pro women’s golfer Ashleigh Simon has a slender lead over SPAR National Women’s Hockey captain, Marsha Marescia, with 42 votes against 39.
Internet voting closes on July 7, after which our elite judging panel will cast their secret ballot.
